I could feel her beautiful energy and willingness to learn more, so I gave Grace the role of hiring an army of students for us at each event.

She never let me down and therefore she was paid extra for that responsibility. I told Grace that when she graduated from university I would employ her full time with our company.

Grace was thrown head first into our busy wedding season and had a myriad of new tasks to learn. Amidst the chaos she was always calm and got the tasks completed.

Grace was employed as our Office Assistant but she not only managed the accounts, vendors and general off duties but was on site overseeing the students, and working with our head planners to set tables, lay out equipment and act as back up to the other wedding planners.

As Grace’s personality was so sweet, loving and warm, we also had her dealing with the guests at arrival, and overseeing the floor staff during the events.

We covered every type of wedding from Chinese, Jewish, Australian, French, Bangladeshi and Gay from ballrooms, to private villas, resorts and beach weddings. Grace grew into a capable woman during her time with us and was constantly improving her English.

I could actually hear Grace copy the manner and words that I used, and adopt the way I treated my vendors and staff as equals and family.

I told her the more you respect your staff and vendors by showing love and appreciation, the more respect you will receive and your vendors and staff will go above and beyond for you. We are all equals.

Grace easily fitted in wherever she was and everyone adored her. I don't think she realises yet the effect she has on others.

She became a part of our family with all the ups and downs that go with working closely with a team. We were very sad to see her depart, particularly myself, as I had become accustom to having her close to me.

She can set her mind to whatever she wants to do in life and she will always attract the right people to help her on her path.

I sent her off to travel the world, improve her English, get more experience, learn about new cultures and she left to work in the Hamptons for 2 years.

She found the way to get there and has continued to do many courses. Anyone who meets this beautiful human being, will be changed, but always be respectful.
